ZestieZ is a chocolate brand created for Gen Z. I created the brand name, logo, and packaging. Also designed a promotional poster and social media content.
The challenge was to create a standout identity for a new coated candy aimed at Gen Z. The brand needed a name, strong ethical messaging, and a design system that would instantly capture Gen Z's attention.
I started by researching Gen Z’s culture, values, and aesthetics. The name “ZestieZ” came from blending energetic, playful language with a nod to the generation itself. Once the name clicked, the visual direction followed: bold typography, high-contrast colours, and an octagon-shaped dieline that stands out on the shelf. Ethical sourcing was highlighted throughout the packaging and poster design, aligning the product with Gen Z’s demand for transparency and fairness.
To create something Gen Z would genuinely connect with, I immersed myself in trends, social media behaviours, and slang. I tested name ideas with peers and refined the logotype through type exploration. The packaging dieline was custom-made to reflect the brand’s playful edge and included storytelling touchpoints about ethical cocoa sourcing.
From initial sketches to final renders, the design was built to be loud, confident, and funjust like its audience.
Here are real photographies of the packaging and dieline.
